Forget your usual Glaswegian fry up and give The 78’s big breakfast a go. Only available at weekends, this is perfect for hangover help, Sunday brunching or just general munching. Sausage, scrambled tofu and good old totty scones are served up with toast, beans, mushrooms and tomato, with a free cup of tea to wash it down with.

The Note boasts the best chips in town and has a menu of great grub, including the stereotypical Scottish classic: haggis, neeps and tatties. This delicious vegetarian haggis comes with mashed mounds of turnip and potato, and is topped with perfect pink peppercorn sauce.

Glasgow’s newest vegan grub pub serves up Asian eats in the west end, with aubergine and tofu making meaty meals which are bursting with flavour. Main meals are a fiver before 5pm and the jackfruit pulled ‘pork’ is an incredible invention which must be sampled.
